«We are once again organizing a new edition of this race, which has become a staple in the athletics calendar, gaining great prestige not only in the Community of Madrid but also in neighboring provinces, thanks to its excellent route and organization. For the second consecutive year, as a tribute, it will be named after Miguel Gómez, the former Technical Chief of the Sports Department, who tragically passed away in a sports accident in August 2023,» explained the mayor, who added, «We remind residents that on the day of the race, there will be road closures on the streets where the race passes. These closures will be kept to the minimum necessary time for the safety of the athletes, and we apologize to all those affected.»
