The Local Police of Torrejón de Ardoz is investigating the appearance of sausages with pins on the ground of a plot in Soto del Henares, allegedly to harm pets, and is maintaining active surveillance in the area.
Alerted by several neighbors, the officers moved to a plot located on Dulce Chacón street, in the neighborhood of Soto Henares, where they removed 10 pieces of sausages with hidden pins.

According to a statement released by the Torrejón City Council, the sausages with pins are believed to have been thrown «with the intention of harming and even killing pets, especially dogs, that regularly walk in this vacant lot.»
The Local Police officers have initiated an investigation to clarify the origin of this dumping, relying on the testimony of several neighbors who have pointed out a potential suspect.

Warning tape has also been placed to alert of the danger of these dumpings to pets, as stated by the city council.
The Torrejón de Ardoz City Council has reminded that this alleged criminal action is classified as a crime in Law 7/2023, of March 28, on the protection of the rights and welfare of animals and can even result in prison sentences of 12 to 24 months.
