The Torrejón de Ardoz City Council offers four highly valued services for the elderly in the city, such as free Psychological Support, and Podiatry, Hairdressing, and Physiotherapy at affordable prices. As a sign of their success, more than 2,000 elderly people have been attended to in these municipal resources during the year 2024. Access to all these services is simply by presenting the senior citizen card.
Torrejón de Ardoz, February 19, 2025. The Mayor, Alejandro Navarro Prieto, presented these municipal services with the Councilor for Seniors, Ana Verónica González, and the responsible individuals for each resource. These include Inmaculada Pérez, in charge of the psychological support service; Beatriz Garcia, manager of the podiatry service; Natalia Gutierrez, head of the physiotherapy team; and Beatriz Delgado, the contractor for the hairdressing service at La Caja del Arte.

With them, we reaffirm our commitment to the elderly, whose well-being is a priority for this City Hall,» said Mayor Alejandro Navarro.
The free Psychological Support Service for the elderly in Torrejón has been in operation since 2022 and has been further enhanced due to the success it is achieving. It offers both individual and group sessions. Throughout the year 2024, more than 280 sessions have been conducted, and currently, 105 elderly people are being attended to.
Individual sessions are held at the La Caja del Arte Senior Center on Tuesdays from 10:00 to 13:00 and Thursdays from 10:00 to 14:00, while group sessions take place on Fridays from 10:00 to 14:00 at the Las Veredillas Senior Center. Seniors can schedule an appointment with the psychologist by calling 696400094.
«We have individual and group therapies for the elderly, who not only receive this care but also socialize with other elderly individuals, make friends, and all of this is very beneficial for them. I want to highlight that the collaboration with the Torrejón City Council is fantastic. We invite seniors to join because very few city councils offer this psychological support service, and in this case, it is also free,» detailed Inmaculada Pérez, the resource manager.
The preventive physiotherapy service is provided at the La Caja del Arte Senior Center and at the Senior Center on Avenida Madrid, and a new service has recently been added at the Las Fronteras Cultural Center. To schedule an appointment, call 91 523 47 86.
The podiatry and hairdressing services are offered at the senior centers on Avenida Madrid and La Caja del Arte, operating from Monday to Friday and providing assistance at the center and at home for users with mobility issues. To book an appointment at the podiatry clinics at both centers, call 677 57 01 93, while for the hairdressing service, the appointment line for the senior center on Avenida Madrid is 91 648 78 11, and for La Caja del Arte’s hairdressing service, call 91 002 62 63.
On her part, Councilor for Seniors Ana Verónica González highlighted that «these initiatives contribute to the healthy aging that we promote from the Torrejón de Ardoz City Council, as we remain committed to improving the quality of life of the elderly, expanding the services we offer more and more.»
