The Local Police of Torrejón de Ardoz have arrested 12 people in recent months for robberies in commercial establishments in the city, as detailed by the city council in a press release.
In one of the operations, the Torrejón agents arrested a person after committing a robbery in a supermarket.

A neighbor requested the presence of the Local Police after observing a security guard struggling to detain a man with an aggressive attitude who had assaulted and threatened the store’s staff in his attempt to escape.
The detained individual filled his backpack with products from the supermarket and tried to flee without paying for them.
Once on the street, he tried to steal a bicycle from a minor to escape more quickly, but was intercepted by the security guard who struggled with the individual until the arrival of the police, who managed to subdue and arrest him.

In another police operation, the agents were alerted by a merchant who informed them of the presence of an individual who, having stolen on other occasions, had returned to this establishment and once again appropriated several items.
Upon the arrival of the police officers, the man displayed a very violent attitude, attempting to attack them, and was also arrested for assaulting the authorities.

On the other hand, the Local Police of Torrejón collaborated with National Police officers in the arrest of a man who was robbing pharmacies in municipalities of the Corredor del Henares.
The individual was captured by the security cameras of the pharmacies, but he spaced out his robberies to change his appearance, and finally, thanks to the coordination between different police forces, the suspect was apprehended in the town of Coslada last February.
In another intervention, the Local Police detained an individual who was caught trying to steal several mobile devices from a commercial establishment, which also had a ban on entry into Spain issued by the Government Delegation.

Additionally, law enforcement officers arrested two individuals for an alleged crime of burglary, who were found hooded inside a store with gloves and various tools, including those necessary to disable alarms.
Furthermore, the agents verified that both had criminal records, so the case was referred to the judicial authority for further legal proceedings.
Another operation resulted in the arrest of three individuals, two of them for stealing sports clothing in a retail store in Parque Corredor and the other for theft after taking a bag from a store. In both cases, the stolen items were recovered.

All these interventions, highlighted the mayor, Alejandro Navarro, «continue to demonstrate the commitment of the Local Police to public safety, once again showing their effectiveness in crime prevention.
