Rescate de dos personas con diversidad funcional en Torrejón de Ardoz

The Local Police of Torrejón de Ardoz rescued two people with functional diversity aged 51 and 44 who became disoriented on the banks of the Henares River yesterday. Faced with the high water flow that the river is experiencing these days, a large security and emergency operation was deployed to locate the two individuals who were in contact with the agents.

Torrejón de Ardoz, March 27, 2025. The 112 emergency service informed the Local Police that two people had gone missing in the vicinity of the Henares River and did not know how to return. Based on the phone data provided by one of the individuals, they were located in the area of Barrio del Castillo and Parque Europa, with reports indicating that one of the two may have fallen into the water.

Several units of the Local Police, a team of firefighters with a zodiac boat, Civil Protection, the municipal ambulance, and a patrol car from the National Police were dispatched to the location.

Upon arrival at the site, around 10 pm, after crossing the metal bridge, on the bank closest to San Fernando de Henares, the 112 service guided the agents to the area where the two lost individuals were believed to be. Contact was established via phone with one of the disoriented men. The police located the two individuals, who were in good health, among the bushes in a difficult-to-access area. At the time of their location, the two men were on the riverbank with water up to their ankles, at risk of being swept away by the strong current and visibly frightened.

The two men were discharged on-site and transported back to their residence in the city.
